In addition to her professional and community leadership, she is an ordained pastor, providing spiritual guidance, mentorship, and counseling to individuals and families. Her pastoral leadership reinforces her commitment to servant leadership, ethical governance, compassion, accountability, and principled decision-making. She believes leadership is not about title—it is about responsibility.
As a licensed Realtor, she works directly with families navigating one of the most significant financial decisions of their lives—homeownership. Her work requires precision, integrity, and a deep understanding of both legal and ethical standards.

Navigating complex transactions with attention to detail and risk management
This experience has given her firsthand insight into housing affordability, property values, responsible development, land use decisions, and how county policies directly impact homeowners, renters, and small businesses.
Her broader professional experience also includes:
Former President of the College of Business Alumni Association at Chicago State University, leading strategic planning initiatives and strengthening alumni engagement and fundraising efforts

Currently, she serves as Executive Director of Women Who Lead Connect (WWLC), a global organization dedicated to empowering women in leadership. Her work also spans international speaking, publishing, performing arts, and fitness instruction for the Charles County Commissioner’s Division of Aging—demonstrating her ability to connect across generations and cultures.
What separates Sha’Meca Latai’ Oliver from her opposition is her hands-on leadership style. She does not lead from behind a desk—she leads in neighborhoods, in schools, in small businesses, and at kitchen tables. She understands policy not just in theory, but in practice.
